Hi peeps, welcome back! Mary and I are enjoying our first day off from the espresso bar, and what do we do? Rototill the beds, mow the lawns, and update the blog. At least we're doing all of this at home.
Business was brisk Thursday, Friday, and especially Saturday; we nearly broke $1000.00 this time around. We processed our first payroll last week, and yea! we had enough in the bank to actually pay everyone! Except us, that is; that will come later in the month.
Anyway, things are looking bright, but we're not out of the woods. We'll see how business is on Saturdays after the main soccer season. My gut tells me we'll slow down dramatically, which will put a lot of pressure on sales during the week.
The roaster is in place and operational, but the contractor helping us all out didn't pull any permits and the head inspector showed up Friday wondering what the heck that smell was. Luckily he adores said contractor and had no real problems with the set-up. We'll see if our neighbors say anything about the smoke or chaff, both of which can be overwhelming if the wind blows them the "wrong" direction.
Well, time to hit the lawn again. Or maybe it's time for a nap! Come by and say hi.
